While most plaudits from this weekends race went, rightfully, to Max Verstappen there was another duo that also put in an amazing result and one that could earn their team a fair amount of money.
While Verstappen made his trip up the grid from P17 a few places ahead of him in 13th Pierre Gasly made the climb all the way up to the podium positions while his teammate Esteban Ocon moved up to second from fourth and even led the race for a period of time.
Overall the duo took home 33 points for their team and that was enough for Alpine to leapfrog Haas, Williams and RB in one fell swoop to find themselves sitting in sixth place in the championship.
The result could lead to a large increase in the prize money Alpine will receive come the end of the season and if they do manage to hold on to sixth in the constructors championship they could net themselves as much as $50,000,000 when the prize money is distributed between the teams at the end of the season.
After an incredibly difficult season for the team they will be able to look back at Brazil with some fondness come the end of the season and should mean they will not finish in the second to last spot which they had occupied ahead of this race ahead of only the Sauber team who are still pointless with only three races to go.
